Instagram Decide to Remove Shopping Features

Instagram is removing shopping features from its platform, and the aim of the decision is to focus more on direct advertising under the e-commerce policy because the company’s revenue is falling for the first time. 

Technology magazine The Information quoted Instagram’s statement saying that company Meta had informed employees of the policy change and is removing the shopping page from the platform. According to the report, Meta’s revenue declined in July first time. Meta’s drop in revenue follows a slump in the digital advertising market that other companies like Alphabet and Snap have also faced.

According to foreign media reports, Meta believes that e-commerce is necessary for Instagram because users can easily find and purchase products throughout the application with features such as feeds, stories, reels, live purchases, and deliveries.
